About The book

How to Get Admitted to Top World

Admission Secrets is a book that will help determine and answer all the essential questions of students about pursuing further education abroad. The book will talk about how the author, Ibrahima Barry, came to the United States in 2017 as an international student from Senegal from a low-income family. He experienced a lot of challenges and frustration in obtaining a US college degree. Ibrahima’s daughter, a first-generation Senegalese American, just finished her freshman year at Fordham University.

She graduated from Milton Academy, which is one of the top 15 independent schools in the country. The family as a whole experienced a great deal of frustration through the admission process for several reasons. A few months ago, Ibrahima attended a teleconference. Many current students of color in the United States and Africa shared their struggles with getting admitted and getting the proper support. As a result, Ibrahima decided to do something tangible by writing a book to provide solutions to their problems. As students face a lack of a one-stop-shop for information and or overwhelming information, language barrier, complicated and costly admission process, expensive cost of attending US colleges and universities, and so on, the book will help them overcome the challenges to the above barriers to achieving their educational dream.
